Bharat Forge Signs MoU for India’s First Private Marine Gas Turbine Overhaul Hub

In a massive step toward absolute indigenization (Atmanirbhar Bharat), defence major Bharat Forge signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Andhra Pradesh Government. The facility will be anchored within the Andhra Pradesh Defence Manufacturing Corridor at Visakhapatnam, co-located with the Eastern Naval Command and INS Eksila. Phase 1 will deliver a rapid 72-hour turnaround hot-section restoration setup for Navy warships, while Phase 2 will construct India's first fully private full-spectrum test cell for indigenous Marine Gas Turbine (MGT) assembly.
