Nimapara Patha Utsav 2026 Inaugurated in Puri

Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida inaugurated the Nimapara Patha Utsav 2026 in Puri district. The cultural festival featured traditional folk performances including Pala, Dasakathia, Sankirtan, tribal dances, and horse dances.

The event aims to preserve Odisha’s rich cultural heritage while promoting youth participation in arts and sports activities. Organizers also unveiled the mascot “Utkarsha Ghoda” along with plans for marathons, music competitions, debates, and sports events under “Utkarsha Nimapara 2.0.”

To revive local folk traditions and promote healthy community living, Deputy CM Pravati Parida officially inaugurated the Nimapara Patha Utsav 2026. The street festival proudly exhibited traditional Odia art forms, including Pala, Dasakathia, tribal dances, and Sankirtan. Alongside the cultural segments, the government unveiled the official jersey, medals, and the unique horse mascot named 'Utkarsha Ghoda' for the upcoming regional youth marathons and debate championships.
